I knew your dad from the days he worked at the garden center in Branford. I was just wondering what had happened to him and looked online.... sorry to hear of his death. I once babysat for the 3 of you when your parents went away on an overnight trip. Remember your dog, your dad's stories about the turkeys he was raising (esp. the one about them getting loose on Rte. 8!). Lots of fond memories.

It saddens me to hear of the passing of Larry. I have fond memories of Larry and your mom Beverly. My parents Dominic and Charlotte were very close to both of them and more with Larry for years. Actually your dad had planned visiting my dad to console him my mom just passed away on July 10th . Loss of a parent is so difficult give your self the time you need don't rush recovery give yourself the time to heal. I am so sorry for your loss and Dad will be watching over you forever. May i add something at the funeral the priest made one statement that stayed with me. " It was that your loved one is not gone He/she is just at a different address" just to make it not so heavy..god bless you and all of your loved ones. <3

To Larry's Family,
To know Larry, see him, talk to him, brought you joy - made us glad. My husband Bob knew Larry from the days of Home Depot when both worked there, Bob in Kitchens, Larry in Garden. I worked for the Republican American newspaper. When Larry started The Plant Outlet, our graphic artist Angelo and I saw a lot of Larry and we all got to know each other well. Angelo and I worried about Larry often. Sometimes, he looked well; other times, we worried. We knew his heart was not good. But Larry carried on and we were always amazed at his knowledge of shrubs and plants. Together we helped put ads together to promote Larry's business. Then when he was out at the farm, we went there too. How hard Larry worked. Bob and I ran into Larry at Dollar General in Torrington little more than a week before he passed away. He looked good but told us his heart was at minimal capacity. We are so glad that we had the chance to hug him and talk with him.
Knowing Larry enriched your outlook, made you smile, made your day.
Bob and I send you heartfelt sympathy on your loss. But Larry will live on forever in the hearts and lives of those who knew him, were helped by him and loved him.

Chantel, Scott and Cena I am truly from the depths of my soul sorry for your loss. Wish I had more opportunity to get to know him better but the encounters I've had with him, he was truly a great guy. I pray God sees you through this tough time and I pray you find comfort in knowing he's no longer in pain. Love you and God Bless you.

Dear Scott, Dracaena, Chantal, and Beverly,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Larry. There was no one like Larry. We worked together, laughed together, bitched together and shared a love of plants and growing. larry shared pictures of his grandchildren with me and loved them so much. He stopped in to visit me a few weeks ago at Twin gardens in Canton and was very impressed with our fruit trees. He talked of Scott starting his orchard at his new home. Scott please stop in, I have set aside an apple tree for you to plant in memory of your father. He taught me so much about being a greenhouse grower. He was very generous to me and the New Hartford Garden Club. I will miss him and think of him often and all he taught me not only about gardening but about never giving in no matter how hard your body fights you when you can't do what you want to do. He was a strong example of strength, generousity and tenacity.
With my deepest sympathy to all who loved him, I share in your sorrow.
Brenda
