William Grant, 70, of Berlin, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2023. He was born March 26, 1953. He is pre-deceased by his mother Ruth Blanch McKay and father Robert William Grant Sr.
William is survived by his daughter, Sarah Beth Branco and son-in-law Norberto Branco, two beloved grandchildren Emily Irene Branco and Bria Elisa Branco, two sisters, Joanne Hammill and Kathleen Grant and one brother, Roger Grant. He is also survived by his Aunt Carolyn Tkacs, Uncle Paul Lucas, as well as several nieces nephews, and a close friend Mary.
He was pre-deceased by his sister Ruthanne Jeter and two brothers, Robert Grant Jr., and Kevin Grant.
William joined the US Marines as a young adult and received an honorable discharge. Following his time with the Marines, he worked as a Quality Assurance inspector. When William wasn’t working, he found joy in planting and gardening, and had a love for the outdoors; whether back-packing, camping or fishing. He was an avid coin collector, enjoyed crossword puzzles, bowling, and loved all sports, especially the Yankees. He had an immense love for all animals and was very devoted to his faith in God.
Private funeral arrangements will be held.
