William George Banulski was born on February 16, 1949 in New Britain, CT to Josephine and Benjamin Banulski. He grew up in New Britain, joined the Marines in 1968 and fought in the Vietnam War. He married Annette LaMent on Oct, 21, 1972. He was the proud father of two children: Justin Banulski and Madeleine Ziegler. He worked in sales at Nielsen Hardware for twenty years and later started his own successful company, WmB Sales Corp.
William was a proud father, devoted husband and always had a love for music. He taught himself guitar in his teens and music was a golden thread that ran throughout his life. He sang in a country western band but really fell in love with bluegrass and gospel music. He would plan every camping vacation around his favorite bluegrass festivals. Many happy years of his retirement with Annette were spent jamming with friends on their summer Bluegrass festival circuit. He also loved boating, fishing and spending summers at the NJ shore with family. He volunteered with hospice to play music for patients and did monthly jams in nursing homes to cheer the residents. He was an excellent cook, faithful church member and always had a one liner to make you smile. He was steady and calm, generous and kind. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and will be thought of whenever they tap their foot to a nice guitar tune or surprise someone with a witty joke.
He is survived by his wife Annette Banulski; son Justin (Nicole Foster) Banulski and their two children; daughter Madeleine (Simon) Ziegler and their three children; sister Gail (Gary) Oliveira their four children and five grandchildren and his brother Wayne Pearce (Kim) and their four daughters and five grandchildren.
