Roland W. Drouin, 92, son of the late Alphonse and Yvonne Landry Drouin, passed away on June 25, 2021. Born in New Britain he attended local schools and also attended the Hartford School of Accounting.
He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, serving in Korea and Japan.
Roland was employed by Greyhound Lines for 30 years, retiring in 1984.
He is survived by his wife, Francis Reale Drouin, 3 sons Ronald and (Terese), Richard and Robert, who was also his caregiver at home.
He is also survived by the love of his life, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nothing was more important to him. From birth to adulthood, he was involved in and their wellbeing, the bond between them was never broken, the love they showed him brought him such joy and happiness. A special thanks to his granddaughter, Jennifer, who never left his bedside. Our appreciation also to his home healthcare, Maggie, whom everyday put a smile on his face. There were no calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family
