Roland Dubay, 81 of Stonebridge Road Berlin, husband of the late Joan (Cormier) Dubay died on Friday in Kensington. Born on December 12, 1933 in Van Buren Maine, son of the late Martin and Agnes (Dionne) Dube.  He lived in Berlin most of his life, a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army.  Roland was a member of St. Paul's Church Kensington a member of the VFW and Knights of Columbus. For 17 years he volunteered at Ledgecrest Health Care where he loved to play bingo.

 

Roland is survived by his loving family: daughter in law Kathy Dubay of Berlin four brothers Clarence and wife Rose Dubay of Bristol Leo James Dubay of Maine,  Fidele and wife Reynelde Dubay of New Britain and Philip Dubay of Van Buren ME. Five sisters Rita and husband Eve Facchini of MA, Cecilie and husband Claude Martin of Bristol, Beatrice Rossignol of Van Buren Maine,  Yvette Nadeau of Van Buren Maine, Jeanette Noe of Toms River New Jersey.  A granddaughter Lisa (Dubay) Daniels of Berlin, three great-grandchildren Savanna, Anthony, and Robert.  Also several nieces and nephews. A special friend Jane also. He was predeceased by a son Dennis Dubay and grandson Daniel Dubay.

 

The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 am from the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St, Kensington. Followed by a mass of Christian burial in St.Paul's Church at 10 am.  Entombment will be in St.Mary's Cemetary, New Britain with full military honors. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm.
