Richard L Fiori, 93, of Kensington, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Kensington, to the late Attilio and Linda Fiori, he was retired from General Electric in Plainville. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Kensington Vol. Fire Dept where he served as Chief of the Department and the Berlin VFW post 10732. He also was a parishioner of St. Paul Church. Besides his parents, Richard was predeceased by his son, David Fiori, his daughter, Diane Fiori Martin, his daughter in-law, Linda Perretta Fiori, his sister, Rena Barillaro, and brothers, Joseph and Robert Fiori. Richard is survived by his wife of 69 years, Irene Fiori (Wielgos), his daughter, Linda Romegialli and her husband, Philip of Cromwell, his sons, James Fiori and his partner, Julie Prokop of Kensington, Thomas Fiori and his wife, Andrea of Calci, Italy, daughter in-law, Karen Kulak Fiori of New Britain and son in-law Brian Martin of Southington, twelve Grandchildren and eight Great Grandchildren. Friends and Family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Tuesday, February 14, at 10:00 AM at St Paul Church, 485 Alling St., Kensington. Burial will follow in West Lane Cemetery with Military Honors. Per Richard’s request, there will be no calling hours. Friends and family are requested to go directly to church.
