Obituary

Normand B. LaChance, 77, of Terryville, beloved husband of Linda (Tonon) LaChance went home to be with his heavenly Father on Thursday, February 3, 2022.  Born on November 6, 1944, in Fall River MA., son to the late Hector and Lauretta LaChance. Normand proudly served our country in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966.  He worked at General Motors New Departure and was also self-employed.  He was known for his carpentry skills and was a master craftsman.  He also worked at Lowe’s in Torrington. Normand enjoyed singing for the Lord.  He sang at many churches, weddings, graduations, and funerals.  He had a music ministry in the Dominican Republic for several years. In addition to his wife and best friend of 39 years, he is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law. Suzanne and Frank Lombardi and Pauline and Jack Zukowski, also a brother-in-law Jeffrey and Lori Tonon, sister-in-law Lori and Randy Levine and several nieces and nephews. In celebration of his life, please join us for a graveside service with military honors on Saturday March 12, 2022, at 10 A.M. at the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane in Middletown, CT followed by a service at 12:30 P.M. at Beacon Baptist Fellowship Church, 200 Elm Street in Thomaston, CT. Normand’s life was a blessing, he was loved and will be missed beyond measure.
