Mary "Jo" Bianco Obituary

Mary Josephine Bianco “Jo”, a long-time resident of Kensington, CT passed peacefully on the 28th of August. Mary was born and raised in New Britain, CT  She was predeceased by her father; Frank Bianco Sr., her mother; Mary Bianco “Palumbo” of New Britain, CT, and her brother Frank J. Bianco Jr. of Kensington, CT. She is survived by; Her cousins Guido Giantonio, Eleanor Bartlett, and Kathy Curry, in addition to several other cousins. As well as beloved niece Sandra Houghtaling and great niece Taylor Diana. Jo was loved and taken great care of by friends and neighbors Bill and Ellen Cliens for 28 years. The family would like to thank everyone involved with her care at Addison Place of Glastonbury, CT.  Mary was a loyal employee of General Electric “GE” of Plainville, CT and retired in 1989.  Mary also enjoyed traveling in her younger years. Acquiring many memories with friends. In her travels, she learned how to shop, and shop well. She lived life to the fullest and was an avid cook and baker. Anything that involved time with family and friends was Jo’s favorite thing to do.  A great joy later in her life was spending time with her great niece Taylor Diana.  

Calling hours will be held for friends and family between the hours of 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM at Berlin Memorial Funeral Home. A Mass will follow calling hours at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Kensington, CT. The Mass will begin promptly at 11:30. Immediately following the mass; Mary will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in New Britain, CT.
