Lucy A. Scalora 96, born June 7, 1917, of New Britain passed away peacefully on Saturday January 11, 2014 with her loving family around her.    Born in Boston MA., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Viola) Naro and the wife of the late Paul Scalora.

She was a member of St. Paul Church, Kensington.  She worked for Roland Products for many years while raising, loving and caring for her family.  She enjoyed spending many happy years at their beach home in Niantic, CT.  Later Lucy enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida with her husband Paul.  Lucy loved spending time with all her family, gardening and cooking for anyone who came to the table.

Lucy is survived by three sons and two daughters; John Scalora of Terryville; Richard Scalora and his wife Cindy of Newington, Paul Scalora of New York, Rose “Dottie” Walker of New Britain and Annette Parke and her husband Charles of East Lyme, sixteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren and one great-great grandson , several nieces and nephews.

Besides her Mother, Father and Husband she was also pre-deceased by two sisters Ann Rosso of Wethersfield and Josephine Cipplone of Orlando, FL.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 16, 9:00 a.m. from the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home 96 Main Street Kensington, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10a.m. at St. Paul Church 467 Alling Street Kensington.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Rocky Hill.  Friends and family are invited to call Wednesday January 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
