Jefferson A. Clark, 48, loving husband of April (Desjarlais) Clark, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
Jefferson was born in San Diego, California, on February 25, 1976, the son of Patricia (Meyer) Clark of Tennessee and the late Carl A. Clark. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and was employed by the U.S. Department of Defense. Jefferson received many awards and honors during his military service, including the Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (2), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Army Service Ribbon. As a civilian employee of the DOD, Jefferson was a distinguished graduate of the Naval Post Graduate School. Between his military service and his service with the DOD, Jefferson was integral to several deployments to the Middle East and Western Asia.
Jefferson was known for his love of music and his ability to play multiple instruments. He was a member of the Praise Band at Lifeway Church of Newington. He helped his daughters develop their instrumental skills and their love of music. Friends and coworkers enjoyed his quick wit and cynical sense of humor. He loved great food, travel, and date nights with April. He was a loyal fan of the San Diego Padres, LA Chargers, and the Carolina Hurricanes.
In addition to his wife and mother, Jefferson is survived by his children Joshua Hall, Colleen Clark, and Jacqueline Clark; his sister, Heidi Clark; and two nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service with military honors on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 10 am in the State of Connecticut Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane Middletown, CT, 06457. This service will be officiated by Pastor Joel Rissinger, Pastor Emeritus of Lifeway Church of Newington. Arrangements are entrusted to the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington, CT, 06037. www.BerlinMemorialFuneralHome.com
