Frank Benenti 94, of Kensington husband of Doris Bighinatti Benenti passed away on January 29, 2014 at the Hospital of Central Conn.  Born in East Windsor the son of the late Louis and Maria Aivano Benenti. 

He was a graduate of E. C. Goodwin Technical School and New Britain High.  A veteran of World War II he served in the Pacific area and in the occupation of Japan.  Upon his return he was employed as a tool and die maker at the G. E. Prentice Corp.  In 1962 he was promoted to Vice President and served in that position until the plants closing.  He was a member of St. Paul Church and served as grand knight for K of C Council 3675 in 1965.

In addition to his wife of 67 years he is survived by two children, Dr. Thomas Benenti and his wife Vicki of Kennebunkport, Maine and Shirley Homer and her husband Chet of Portsmouth N.H. four beloved grandchildren Geoffrey Homer of Boston Mass. Kristin Homer of Jackson Hole Wyoming, Kyle Benenti serving with the U.S. Coast Guard in Bahrain and Taylor Benenti of Portland Maine. 

Friends and relatives are invited to go directly to St. Paul Church on Saturday February 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial in Maple Cemetery in Berlin will be private.

There will be no calling hours. 

In lieu of flowers contributions in Frank’s memory may be made to Frank and Doris Scholarship Fund, University of New England, 716 Stevens Ave., Portland, ME, 01403.
