Frances (Ventura) LaVorgna

Frances LaVorgna, 98, of Kensington passed away on Friday, July 9th, 2021.  Frances was born on Oct. 23,1922 in New Haven, CT. She was the daughter of the late George and Jennie (Celentano) Ventura. Fran is survived by her three children:   Laurel Rosso and spouse (Peter) of Kensington, Michael and spouse (Grace) LaVorgna of Berlin and Cynthia LaVorgna of NYC.  She is also survived by her sister Georgana and spouse Christopher Prisco. She leaves her adored grandchildren:  Tony, Lindsay and Vinny, her great grandchildren:  Gianni Marino, Christian and many nieces and nephews.   She was predeceased by her sister Angela Curran, spouse John, her brother Anthony Ventura and spouse Ann Marie, her grandson Brian.  Fran worked for over 60 years in the pharmaceutical industry as well as assisting in the family restaurant business. Fran was very active in servicing the soldiers in Desert Shield and was awarded Citizen of the year by the Berlin Chamber of Commerce. Grandma Fran will be sorely missed by friends and family.  We would like to thank The CT Baptist Home in Meriden for all their compassion and help in taking care of Frannie.

Friends and Family may call at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington on    Wednesday, July 14, 2021, from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Paul Church, 485 Alling Street, Kensington at 11:30 A.M.  Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in New Britain.
