Flora L. (Orsie) (Maloney) Pankonin, 101, of Cromwell, died on Monday, July 28, 2014.  She was the widow of Louis Pankonin and James Maloney. 

Born in Berlin, a daughter of the late John and Paolmina Orsie, Flora was the cook manager of several school cafeterias in Berlin, retiring from Berlin High School in 1975.  She is survived by a daughter, Jo-Ann McCormack and her husband Edward, of Kensington; two granddaughters, Kelly Roberto and her husband, Leonard of Huntington, CT and Kerry McCormack and her partner Tricia Brown of California; two great-grandchildren, Melaina and Maxwell Roberto; a sister, Rita Skinner and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by four sisters, Mary Callahan, Minnie Daley, Josephine Neilsen, Natalie Malarney and four brothers, Frank, Louis, Charles and John Orsie.

Friends and family may call at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM followed by a service.  Burial will be private.
