Dolores Yvette (King) Wnuk passed away peacefully on February 25, 2020 surrounded by her five sons. A resident of East Berlin for over 60 years, Dolores was the daughter of Francis and Azelie King, born and raised in Collinsville CT. and graduated from Canton High, class of 1948. She worked for many years at The Hospital of Central Connecticut and was a member of Sacred Heart Church of East Berlin and St. Paul Church of Berlin. Dolores enjoyed reading, watching UConn Women’s basketball and made the world’s finest chicken and dumpling stew. Her greatest joy was her family and the time spent with her grand and great-grand children.
Dolores lived with an unwavering devotion to her family and many friends, guided by a strong moral compass and religious faith. She leaves a legacy of kindness, generosity, loyalty and love to her family and many friends in the Berlin community. Dolores will be missed as she was loved, deeply and eternally, her memory and the gift of her love forever ours to cherish and embrace.
Dolores leaves 5 sons and their families, Stephen and Chris Wnuk, Andrew Wnuk and Marcia Wolff, Tom and Irene Wnuk, Mark Wnuk, Dave and Barbara Wnuk, grandchildren Jennifer, Laura, Derek, James, Michelle, Andrew, Angela, Matthew, Julia and Alison, and great-grandchildren Cameron and Coral and daughters in-law Kathy Wnuk, Marcie Wnuk and Melody Wnuk. A sister Annette and Albert Brunoli of New Hartford, brother Ronald King of Florida, sisters-in-law Sylvia King, Jeannie King and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Fred (2000) and brothers Francis King, Donald King and Richard King.
