Carolyn Ann Bosso, 86, died peacefully on July 7, 2024 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, Connecticut. Carolyn was born on February 16, 1938 in Waterbury, Connecticut to Carl Cipriano and Mary (Claps) Cipriano.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Raymond D. Bosso, of Berlin, Connecticut; two sons, Robert, and his wife, Michele Bosso, of Woburn, Massachusetts, and David, and his wife, Jennifer Bosso, of Berlin, Connecticut; three grandchildren, Carla, Lucia, and Jack, whom she adored; her sister, Joan Patrette; her beloved cousins with whom she shared her childhood, Mary Ann St. Jean and Clare Marshall; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Carolyn graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School and later attended Annhurst College in South Woodstock, Connecticut. In the following years, she worked as a pre-school and elementary school teacher, and later at Allied Metal in Berlin and Andrew House Healthcare in New Britain, Connecticut. Carolyn loved spending time with her family, reading, listening to music, enjoying dessert, and sitting in the sunlight early in the morning. She often volunteered her time at the Berlin Senior Center and was an active member of many local organizations over the years. Carolyn also enjoyed attending her children’s and grandchildren’s various events and relished in their accomplishments. Known affectionately as “Cippy” to family, Carolyn also valued her time with her “lunch bunch” and many other cherished friends over the years.
Carolyn exemplified warmth, humility, and self-sacrifice, beneath all of which lay the bedrock of her faith. She possessed a remarkable combination of strength and humility. Believing in the inherent goodness of everyone, with her presence she made the world a more beautiful place. Whether family, friend, or stranger, she made people feel welcome, often hosting them around her table. One of her favorite quotes is an apt reflection and testament of how she lived her life: “I shall pass this way but once; any good that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being; let me do it now.” Her gift will go on.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Carolyn’s family would like to thank all of her friends, neighbors, and so many others over the years who knew her and left a lasting imprint on her life.
