Barbara Varriale, 86, a longtime resident of Cromwell and a native of the area, passed away peacefully at home on March 4, 2026 after a long illness.
Born and raised in a hardworking Italian American household, Barbara was the daughter of Lena and C. George Varriale, formerly of Berlin. Pragmatic, caring, and deeply devoted to her family, she spent much of her adult life as a valued employee of Rowland Products in Berlin.

Known for her kind spirit, her laughter, and her wisdom, Barbara will be dearly missed by family and friends near and far. In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, services and interment were private. Her ashes will rest beside her parents at St. Mary’s Cemetery in New Britain.
