Alice E. (Shanahan) Tralli, 86, loving wife of Angelo Tralli, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at MidState Medical Center in Meriden.
Alice was born in Hartford, CT., December 2, 1938, a daughter of the late Charles Shanahan and Alice (Evans) Shanahan and had been a long time Berlin resident. She was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, Class of 1957, and was employed by the Travelers Insurance Company, Liama, and retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, located in Windsor Locks and Stop & Shop in Berlin. Alice loved anything sports related and bowled in leagues for most of her adult life. She was a stickler for keeping score and loved to win. Alice loved organizing family parties and there would always be some sort of competition scheduled. She was an avid UConn and Red Sox fan. Alice most of all though, loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed Sunday breakfast with family at Uncle D’s, walking the beach looking for sea glass, catching crabs with the kids, or just sitting on the patio at home listening to the grandkids and their friends talk about their busy lives. Alice touched many and will be missed by all who had the distinct pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her husband Angelo, she is survived by her three children Christopher Tralli and his wife Kellie, Angela Kahrmann and her husband Bill, and Timothy Tralli and his wife Gabby; six wonderful grandchildren Hunter and Haley Tralli, Selah Kahrmann, Mara Kahrmann and her husband Nathan Marcus and Tyler and Samantha Tralli; She is also survived by her brothers Robert Shanahan, Charles Shanahan, and her sister Susan Shykula and her husband Paul. She was predeceased by her sisters Betty Mooney, Laura DiDomenico, Dorothy Pizzoferrato; and her brothers James Shanahan and Carl Shanahan.
The family would like to say a special thank you to all the caregivers at MidState Hospital for their compassionate care for Alice during her illness.
