Charles J. Nowak, 61, of Meriden, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Born in Glendale, Arizona on July 11, 1956, a son of Victor and Donna (Shirkey) Nowak, Charles was a self - employed carpenter for many years.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter; his dogs Lillie and Blue were his constant companions. Besides his parents, Charles is survived by his companion of many years:  Karen Gardinier, a daughter:  Courtney Nowak (Michael LaPointe) of Windsor Locks, a son: Joshua Nowak of Meriden, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews, and two grandchildren:  Teaghen and Brayden LaPointe of Windsor Locks.  Charles was pre-deceased by a daughter:   Ashley Marie Nowak, and a brother: James John Nowak.Friends and family may call at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington, on Monday, September 18, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. followed immediately by a prayer service.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CPTV.
