Living on Silver St., I was always sent on errands to the grocery. Val was a
constant presence there. She always looked beautiful and was especially
kind to kids. She knew everyone's name. I have vivid memories of my parents,
Florence and Stanley . walking home from church and having many pleasant
conversations with Val and her husband.I miss those safe and friendly
days of our childhood.
